I had the same thoughts when planning my own wedding. And as a photographer, I see it all the time—couples so caught up in traditions and expectations that they barely get to enjoy their own day. They’re either too busy or too stressed to be present in the moment.

Why me?
Photography has been my language since I moved to Japan in 2013.
I was constantly documenting my travels—and there were a lot!—so I could show my family a world they couldn’t see themselves. Through my camera, I shared emotions and experiences that words alone couldn’t capture. But for over 10 years, photography stayed buried in my long list of hobbies while I worked in TV.
My dream has always been to travel as much as possible and see as much as I can
I still follow this goal, but now with my beloved husband by my side. I truly believe that new places and experiences can shape us, making us completely different people (hopefully in the best way!).
When it came to my own wedding
I actually wanted to elope. But in Russia, making it official turned out to be way more expensive than having a traditional wedding. So instead, we had a small, intimate celebration in a beautiful garden, just with our closest friends and family.
That day changed everything for me—I became obsessed with the wedding world and the idea of creating moments that feel real, meaningful, and true to who you are.
